The elusive Takuya Matsumoto has been floating beneath the surface of the underground scene for a decade, high on the list of double AA listers like Floating Points and Move D since he dropped a few slammers on Meda Fury. Returning for his second outing on the uber-cool Fina Records, with his ‘Tape Is Rewound EP’.
This collection is an unrelated group of tracks which normally one would question them sitting on the same slab of vinyl, but here it just works. Deep house grooves are merged with tech- tinged beats, punctuated with some filthy dirty acid lines. Killer EP from the crew.
