FINA White have tipped fellow British artist and DJ, BufoBufo for their 10th EP. It’s undoubtedly one of their most thrilling releases yet to kick off 2021. Ben Murphy (aka BufoBufo) is a jack of all trades; an editor at DJ Mag, co-founder of labels Ritual Poison Records and Batrachian Records, and a masterful producer in his own right. Since 2017, he has amassed a steadily varied collection of peak-time bangers, electro, rave, techno, and house cuts that never fail to satisfy. His output this time around, Endless Rhythm EP is no different, as he delivers four more of his exhilarating electronic odysseys that are sure to transport listeners to a fantasy rave utopia.
The title track, Endless Rhythm, is a high tempo house belter with subtle acid lines, jazzy chords, and an infectious vocal sample reminiscent of Burial. Once the track reaches its climax, movement is irresistible. Lily Pad is a transcendent mix of lush dreamy synths, drawn out ethereal vocals, and precise percussion that will keep you dancing. It’s Changing dials the intensity right back up with a deep, driving bassline and a soulful vocal sample that moves you emotionally just as much as it does physically. Night Visions ends the EP with a bang, using Head High-esque breakbeats and extra-terrestrial pads. These are mighty tracks with a ton of heart.
