The London-based Canadian artist’s second album seamlessly bridges songwriting and club culture, blending jungle, choral arrangements, live harp, and electronic textures. Inspired by epic journey narratives, Odyssey explores personal transformation, healing, and recovery right on the dancefloor. Co-produced with Tim Reaper and Comfort Zone, « Oracle » fuses celestial pop, jungle breaks, gospel, and opera—earning praise from The Guardian and DJ Mag. Don’t miss Tim Reaper’s heavy « bruk-out » VIP remix via Local Action x Lapsus Records! For this special edition of Times & Tunes, Eden and Tim put together a joint playlist and sat down with us to discuss collaboration, jungle, and bringing theatricality to the dancefloor. For @mileyxserious , music has never been about staying in one lane. Splitting her time between Paris and New York, the DJ, curator, and 99CTS RCRDS founder has spent over a decade shaping a universe rooted in underground culture—effortlessly moving through bass, breaks, jungle, techno, and raw punk energy.
Beyond the booth, 99CTS RCRDS operates as a living archive of tapes, zines, and physical editions, giving a platform to emerging producers and sounds that defy single genres. For Miley, DJing is a form of audio archaeology: collecting fragments, tracing scenes, and reconnecting the dots.
For this edition of Times & Tunes, Miley Serious shares a playlist reflecting the memories, references, and sounds that shape her. We caught up with her to talk about digging as a creative practice, 99CTS as an evolving archive, and why staying curious matters more than ever. 🎧🔗 Link in bio.
