There’s a new label breaking onto the scene and they go by the name of Rhythm From. First taking shape in the early months of 2018, the central mission of the French collective is simple – to promote and showcase the local underground scene from various cities around the world. In order the accomplish this task, each of Rhythm From’s LPs will feature a particular city with tracks consisting of music from producers of the area. For their first release, the young label has decided to focus on 7 producers from a town close to home – Toulouse!

One of these producers is the artist Mangabey, who we covered in the past for his EP How I Feel out on Apparel Music. A man certainly on the rise, Mangabey is set to come out with two releases on Toy Tonics later this year with remixes from the likes of Folamour. Luckily, the lads at Rhythm From were able to get the busy man to contribute his original Epithète to their compilation – and what a tune this ends up being! A certified DJ-weapon, Epithète exudes a classic-house vibe that’s marked by soulful vocals, ephemeral strings, and powerful synth progressions that signal to the listener that some epic s**t is going down!If you’re interested in finding what other club-friendly gems are included in Rhythm From Toulouse VA, simply follow the pre-order link right here. The album is set to come out on June 4th next month.
