Slam City Jams is finally back after a little hiatus and happy to welcome our talented buddy Fufi.SNC on the label. Hailing from Ingolstadt, a city one hour away from Munich, Fufi is no stranger to the scene and was on our radar for quite some time now. He is one third of the ever amazing SNC crew, a party and label collective, and has been impressing us with his breakbeat-heavy analog live sets over the past years. After his debut EP on Marlon Hoffstadt’s „Savour The Moment“ label in 2020 he joins the Slam City Jams family with the „Monsterra Mansion“ EP.
We are starting things off with „Back Strike“, a breakbeat monster full of irresistible rave stabs, heavy sub bass and a beautiful crying acid line. Next up you find the hidden hit of this EP: „Raves On Sundays“ featuring the mysterious DJ Kolibri. A tune full of tension, that keeps on building up with a dramatic 303 melody you won’t get out of your head for some time. On the flip we have „Running Home“ – a super deep acid breakbeat affair for the late hours (even though this probably means 10pm these days). Finally the EP is rounded off by the title track: „Monsterra Mansion“ is a stripped back up-tempo four to the floor jam, with a grooving bass and dreamy chords that fans of Roza Terenzi will love. Fufi.SNC treats us with four dope tunes written in times of isolation, but made for days were we all meet again on the floor.
