Berlin label SEVEN announce their fourth EP release courtesy of rising local talent Posture and Sparkly Pony. Sweat Repetition, featuring remixes from 131bpm and Eoin DJ, arrives 28th March on vinyl and all platforms via SEVEN. Launched in 2024 by Berlin artist CRYME, queer and FLINTA-leaning label SEVEN play at the tantalising intersection of house and techno with their unique brand of uplifting, genre-defying sounds that speak to the heart of the global underground. Much more than a label, SEVEN is a movement – fostering community, highlighting underrepresented voices and redrawing industry standards with transparency and integrity. In just a year the label is already being recognised as a vital force on the electronic music scene with a keen eye for next gen talent, and with Sweat Repetition from Posture and Sparkly Pony as their fourth release it’s clear to see why.
Australian born DJ, producer and queer/ trans collective ‘Cuties’ co-founder, Toby Perks (she/her) aka Posture is the dance-floor diva of your dreams. Since making Berlin her base in 2022, she’s been a familiar face leading the dance at all of the city’s best underground parties and clubs from Tresor to Amina at Else. Renowned for soul-enriching sets of all flavours, from sun-soaked euphoria to sultry late night gems, whether she is DJing or producing her talent for igniting the mood is unmatched.
For Sweat Repetition, Posture teams up with fellow Berlin party-starter, DJ and master of captivating grooves, Sparkly Pony. Co-founder of queer collective SWEAT since 2014 and a DJ since teenagehood, Sparkly Pony made his way to Berlin via the Swedish and Danish club scenes where he quickly made his mark. On their new collaborative EP, over five tracks (including blistering edits from Ireland’s Eoin DJ and dance-floor troublemaker 131bpm) the duo dive into laid-back, soothing soundscapes combined with energetic drum workouts that will have sweat dripping on repeat.
Closing us out is Irish producer Eoin DJ with their delightful ‘Stretch & Repeat’ edit. Brimming with buoyant rave energy, dynamic drumwork and quirky sonic details, Eoin delivers the goods with this belter of a remix that transforms the mellower sensibilities of the original into a peak-time pumper.
This glorious EP is a must-listen showcase of two one-to-watch rising talents in Posture and Sparkly Pony, Sweat Repetition. Expertly balancing soft and hard across five excellent tracks, the goods are delivered time and again.
