Co-founder Rassan returns to the catalog in a five track EP of no-nonsense bass-heavy steppers, featuring a remix from Kyoto’s Stones Taro.
Rassan kicks things off with ‘Saxon Dub’ uniting bass musics’ core elements with his own distinct flavor, as sprawling drums leak over the sweltering yet rhythmically placed bass line. ‘Slide ‘N’ Wine’ is a piece of screw-face-two-step that moves people from their seats, with fun heavily at its core; the type of track where approved looks are exchanged in the heat of the rallying club.
‘Up To No Good’ shuffles into the fore with bubble-gum vocal samples and rolling percussion before title track ‘Better Be Careful’ shuts things down with a frightening hair-raising slammer that should be used with caution.
One artist that knows how to make an impact is Stones Taro and since arriving on the scene with a string of productions on Scuffed Recordings to legendary UK label Hardline, Taro has cemented himself as one of the most exciting new names in dance music.
