Jacques Renault – Can’t Nobody Love Me [Let’s Play House]

Let’s Play House is an outstanding New York record label earning a high status for its releases in the art of house, disco & techno. Starting back in 2009 by none other than Mr. Jacques Renault and Nik Mercer, the duo have created something special that is a credit to the big apple. Before they journeyed into LPH, Jacques was doing the rounds in the clubs spinning tunes and selling records, on labels like DFA Records & Hole in the Sky. Some of you may remember back in late 2009, Jacques released a very successful 4-track EP called Favicon. That 12” was monumental for Jacques, and massively influential to his career and the formation of LPH. The classic record was an enormous hit, completely selling out. Unfortunately, with no reissue the unlucky people to have not picked up a copy were left to sing the tune buried deep in their ear canals, until today.

For World Record Store Day 2018, Let’s Play House are gifting the world of music the reissue of this phenomenal EP, and it doesn’t stop there! Back in 2009 one track didn’t make it onto the original EP and was left in Jacques’ USB as his secret weapon to send crowds into a frenzy called “Time Machine”, which, thanks to the generosity of Jacques, is featured on the release. Here at Bolting Bits, we have the huge honour of premiering one disco-weapon from the famous Favicon EP, Can’t Nobody Love Me. Wrap your ears around the funkiest bassline you’ve ever heard, this track bursts passion from every element, whether that be its soulful vocals or the euphoric strings. With limited copies available, we can guarantee that like the original these will go fast so make sure you don’t miss out on the gift that keeps on giving.
