In the early 90s, many producers witnessed the continuous expansion of technological and conceptual boundaries. From drum machines to computer-associated sequencers, from house to dance trance, new styles, and new technologies emerged, coexisted, and solidified; many have survived since.
In 2024, Boom Bunny‘s “Inner Quest” continues this exact search in his debut EP on Mirage Sud. A desire to mix styles while drawing inspiration from the atmosphere of a festival dancefloor. Organic Goa, energetic rhythm, and crackling psychedelic leads amid resonant filters and tribal sounds faithful to the progressive house of the early 2000s.
Music in its festive environment can be limited to a form of simplicity without worry and seriousness. It calls on our connections with party spaces to become sensitive again to moments shared with the people dancing around us, to relive for as long as possible that nostalgia of an instant that drives us, again and always, to go out, to enjoy, to feel free.
