East of Eden, aka Nicholas joins the fam, dropping his debut release, ‘East of Eden’ LP. Nine deep house tracks brimming with influences from far-flung corners of the world, this stunning double LP drops 25th October on LT sublabel, Distant Hawaii.‘Revolutionary Words’ opens the LP with laid-back house on a tribal tip, transporting you deep into the colourful kingdom of East of Eden. ‘Adventures In The Dream Tribe’ rolls through a rainforest dreamscape. Soul soothing energy for kickin’ back, meditative on the dancefloor. Detroit don, Javonntte, brings his signature sound to the album on ‘Days Go By’. A romantic collab jam with classic house vocals, it’s a sensual nod to the old skool. Picking up on the former, ‘Adventures In The Dream Tribe Pt. 2’ is a rowdier affair with infectious percussion and retro keys.
A divine cut, ‘Yume Name Koro’ layers distant verses and otherworldly elements on this melodic adventure. ‘Lost Horizon’ washes us up on a shore of pattering hats, fluming into gloopy pads. East of Eden’s tripped out ‘Dreams’ will tantalise your senses with stripped back vocals and gentle waves floating over a jackin’ beat. Proper house music! ‘Bermuda’s’ paradisiacal groove is a heftier offering, while, ‘Dub House’ is a soulful shuffler rounding out this stunning 9 tracker on a deep, feel good note.
