The inaugural release brings together Naarm-based al dente and Brooklyn artists djfix & jek on sound, alongside a visual collaboration between Eora’s bbennnybb and jek.
Following his 2024 EP ‘multiform’, al dente returns to Pure Space with two original cuts that sit at the cusp of contemporary Australian electronix. ‘bifercated’ opens the release with deep, minimal pressure. ‘phased’ follows with driving low-end, while ever moving wub propels the track end to end.
The collaborative exchange unfolds mid-way through the release through a remix exchange. al dente strips back ‘it’s warmer by the trees’ to minimal form with maximum impact, injecting his signature percussive precision and synth steeze. The duo return the favour for ‘bifercated’, flipping it into a heated version; primed for large, unified dancefloors.
Closing out the release are two originals from djfix & jek. ‘little sprout’ keeps the release’s minimal core intact while tipping fully into party mode.
