Berlin-based duo CYRK deliver their ‘Balloonatix’ EP via John Osborn’s DRED Records late July.

‘More Cowbell’ leads with wandering synth lines, a classic arpeggio bass hook and tension building strings running alongside a bumpy cowbell driven rhythm. Title-cut ‘Balloonatix’ follows and sees the pair lay focus on an acid-tinged arp line, swirling atmospherics, saturated drums and twitchy robotic synth work.
Italy’s Italo Brutalo steps up next with his take on ‘More Cowbell’, offering a more subtly blooming, cinematic twist on the original before ‘Distant Bodies’ rounds out the EP, embracing an amalgam of 80’s leaning moog like synths at its core.
