Blazers – Sounds From The Waves [Lava Lava]

Sounds Of Lava Lava : ”After almost 10 years of broadcasting on Glasgow’s Subcity Radio, Lava Lava founder Michael Divers has teamed up with Rob Etherson to form Sounds of Lava Lava; a record label to showcase a diverse range of talent from the wide spectrum of the House genre.

Sounds of Lava Lava launches this March with a perfect inaugural EP and opening statement from Parisian DJ & Producer Blazers. Since his first EP on F*CLR in 2018 Blazers has been going from strength to strength, clocking up acclaimed releases on Nymphony, GLBDOM & Skint. The Parisian continues this fine run of form with his 4-track Between The Lines EP, each track showing off a different side of Blazers’ style and influences.

The EP opens with Sounds From The Waves. Bright pads, soft drums and a hypnotic bassline lead to a gorgeous vocal which draws you in & floats throughout the track. Crowd Echoes follows up with a playful and irresistibly uplifting groove. This anthemic House cut sounds like something you’d find on Young Marco’s Italian Dream House compilation series. Sensations holds nothing back as it opens with punchy drums and sharp keys. Once the bass hits you’ll easily lose yourself to this infectious and energetic future Disco floor-filler. Finally the title track Between The Lines rounds off the EP and sounds like a gem found while crate digging at your favourite record store. A real US-inspired Deep House cut with clean percussion, airy piano hooks and a chunky bassline.
