Bengoa returns to his own B2 Recordings this October with a new three-track EP, entitled ‘Idyot’ and featuring collaborations with Kristina Berger and Brothers Vibe.
B2 Recordings rolls out more of its quality-assured deep house here with label head Bengoa returning to the label once more and following recent material on the imprint from the likes of Brawther and UC Beatz amongst others.
Opening the EP is the Kristina Berger collaborative ‘Idyot’, a raw house leaning vibe fuelled by gritty acid bass stabs, ethereal textures and the hazy, hypnotic vocal stylings of Kristina Berger. Following is ‘Meet Me Halfway’ which see Bengoa join forces with the New Jersey House maestro Brothers Vibe, as one would expect from such a pairing the composition is a gritty, percussive journey through bumpy House beats, deep chords and Brothers Vibes trippy spoken word.
The solo cut from Bengoa then rounds out the release, entitled ‘Come On Now’ and taking things a different direction via disco tinged drums, tension building strings and choppy vocals, all underpinned by a squelchy 303 bass line that carries the groove throughout.
