Emerging from the heart of Brussels, Kiosk Radio resident and Queer Future Club founder Azo announces her latest EP ‘Astroculture’, scheduled for release on the German SNC Recs and following tracks on Correspondant, Astropolis and Biologic Records. The release features four vibrant original tracks and a stellar remix from the hugely sought-after DJ and producer Maruwa, taking listeners on an ecstatic journey through the realms of acid, trance, and high-energy rhythms.Title track ‘Astroculture’ kicks things off with intergalactic acid, deep pads and tight grooves before being remixed by Offenbach Frankfurt’s Maruwa, whose hypnotic reinterpretation enhances its already electrifying atmosphere via bouncing basslines, mind-warping melodies and tough drum-work.
The euphoric ‘Galactic Gardens’ then races through the stars as its rich, alien-like arpeggios keep pace, with the club-ready ‘Stellar Plant Energy’ showcasing Azo’s extensive range of influences spanning electro, trance and the more melodic side of rave sounds. Closing out the release, she unveils the space mix of her early 2023 Correspondant track ‘Aquatrip’ – dropping the curtain on a conceptual, cosmic EP that skilfully blends myriad musical elements in a sound that is uniquely her own while exploring new possibilities for cultivating plants beyond the boundaries of Earth.
