Born out of a love of saturation, Nerang Recordings started their journey out in Queensland, Australia in 2016. Nowadays, they find themselves calling the beautiful electronic city of Berlin home. Lo-Fi, Techno and all the brothers and sisters of house are the solid foundations of this great label. There is something endearing about the hiss of a tape machine, a saturated kick drum bellowing through a raw dirty bass that hooks you at first discovery. Nerang records have a distinguishable sound and energy, making them unique and instantly recognisable – something that DJ Whipr Snipr and his team should take huge pride in. Releases and label parties come thick and fast, we made the trip to the January showcase and were not disappointed. If you’re looking for a great party in Berlin, look no further than team.

]Next up is the Reality Tape EP straight from the dark corners of the Russian Federation by Low Tape. Six widely diverse dance tracks collectively work so well, touching into many different styles and moods, showing off the expansive taste both the label and artist possess. DJ Whipr Snipr founded Nerang Recordings back in 2016 in the town of Nerang, residing on Australia’s Gold Coast. The focus of the label is to platform quality feet-moving house music and its sibling subgenres. Since its formation, they have gone on to release material from some impressive artists such as Subjoi, Paradiso Rhythm and Interplanetary Criminal. This year has been a milestone year for the label, moving to vinyl releases, with an incoming EP containing one face-melter of a track which we are delighted to premiere today.[soundcloud url=”https://soundcloud.com/boltingbits/premiere-dos-guaca-nerang-recordings” /]

Next up in the Aussie imprint’s line of releases is the 3rd vinyl to come out on Nerang Recordings, NRNGVA003. A 6-track 12” EP featuring a variety of impressive artists including Ray Kandinski, Gallery S, Anthony Fade, DJ Bowlcut, DJ Longdick and DOS (soundcloud), whose track we are featuring. The 2nd track on the A side comes from the Austrian lo-fi magician, who smashes it with an outstanding home hitting raw anthem called Guaca. If you love raw house music that’s packed full of emotion like we do then this whole EP is for you, with Guaca being the cream of the crop. Like in his other material, the drums alone are absolutely outstanding and really bring the track to life while its deep ear-worming pads and chords present an addicting rhythm leaving you wanting more. Typical DOS. This is one 12” you shouldn’t wait to get your hands on.
