Nesa Azadikhah returns on Kulture Galerie with a 4 track EP on Filippo MSM’s cassette tape sub-label Digital Artefacts. Nesa Azadikhah runs Deep House Tehran. She also runs a few record labels, like Apranik Records supporting female artists to rise despite the Iranian regime:

With “My World” Nesa tells a personal story of influences and inspirations split in 4 parts / tracks. Each of the tracks is in fact named after who matters the most to the artist: her 2 dogs, her life partner and herself. Sonically the EP is a unique blend of music that Nesa loves and its hard to not fall in love with. The A side is very UK tinged Techno whilst the B side includes a slow chuggy Dark Disco track and a super trippy dub cut. Fall in love with Nesa’s life.

50% of the EP will be donated to support charities in Iran that help women oppressed by the Iranian regime. Due to security reasons created by the Regime, we can not publicly reveal the name of the charity – but can share further information via email.

AIDA – Unknown Journey [Apranik Records]

After two successful VA Releases, Apranik Records returns with their Debut EP “Polychrome,” by label co-founders Nesa Azadikhah and AIDA. Spanning House, Techno, and Breaks, “Polychrome” highlights both artists’ versatile backgrounds as DJs and producers. Drawing inspiration from their multifaceted journeys in the world of music, the EP is composed to be eclectic yet entirely cohesive. A shared theme of searching for a home or foundation connects Nesa’s “Where Can Be Home” and AIDA’s “Unknown Journey,” both of which embody forward-moving, polyrhythmic progressions and evoke complex emotions through their lead and pad choices. The other tracks, AIDA’s “Chant” and Nesa’s “Levitate,” showcase each artist’s affinity for house and dark atmospheres.

In “Chant,” AIDA blends her signature house and acid sound with muffled frame drums and Sufi chants, reflecting her Iranian heritage. The acid elements link seamlessly with Nesa’s “Levitate,” a focused, groovy track crafted for the dance floor. As [Record Label Name]’s first EP, “Polychrome” marks a significant milestone, establishing Nesa Azadikhah and AIDA as promising talents in the electronic music scene.
This release is the third from the label, after two VA’s titled Woman, Life, Freedom and Intended Consequence. Both VA’s showcased a diverse array of music from Iranian women artists in order to draw attention to the strength and boldness of Iranian women and their fight against an oppressive regime. The success of the past two releases was evident in widespread media coverage by Resident Advisor, Mixmag, DJ Mag, Crack Magazine, Billboard, BBC, and more.
