Kicking things off with ‘Magic Carpet Delivery Service’, experience blissful summery highs before delving deep into the eponymous track, ‘Dance Science’, which promises to rumble club systems and festival stages around the globe alike.

Bringing you back to reality, ‘Polar Sunrise’ incorporates infectious energy with euphoric basslines and breakbeats, completed with a no-nonsense remix from Kalani featuring disorientating, distorted vocals and a breakdown set to turn things upside down.

Ending things on a relaxed high, ‘Pharoah’s Curse’ floats nonchalantly through the atmosphere, letting your mind wander with it’s bubbly synth-work and curious, shifting melodies.

After an active participation in crafting the last 39Rec various artists dancefloor Gear earlier this year, UK based producer Kalani continues hard work by smashing the 39 Rec digital series with 5 cuts from his simulations’ multiverse. EP includes a Fantasy Dub rework from the reptilian master JoeLy.

Traveling between chuggy prog house, break and downT quality dimensions, the simulations are ultra realistic and will continue as long as you keep your VR helmet.

EP’s eponymous track, Simulation, offers a break version of the progy style with a precise and efficient layering. Simulations is constantly evolving and will suit perfectly to ease a dancefloor before bringing back the heat.

Kalani – Goose [Troubleshoot Recordings]

The title track from Kalani’s ‘Rush’ EP on Troubleshoot Recordings takes the listener on a cosmic ride with crisp breakbeats and unending layers of deep, bubbling squelch. ‘Goose’ then continues with psychedelic growls and spell-binding melodies before ‘Frontiers’ harkens back to ‘90s tech house with a crunched-out M1 organ bass, whimsical vocal synths, and intergalactic pads. Closing out the release, ‘Slipstream’ conveys a sense of mystical wonder, exploring enchanted forests and deep subterranean caverns with more subtle breaks and interstellar synth-work.

LIGHTSPEED collective co-founder Kalani is a Manchester-based producer and DJ with a taste for trippy soundscapes, breakbeats and euphoric melodies. He follows up releases by Scaefa, Nickon Faith and Troubleshoot Recordings label boss Jon Selbo with the ‘Rush’ EP, joining an imprint marked by futuristic club sound and quality blends of prog house, trance, electro, and techno.

Kalani ‘Rush’ EP releases on Troubleshoot Recordings 20th October 2023, with the title track dropping 22nd September, and ‘Goose’ landing 6th October.
