Berlin based label Jazz Cabbage – led by the illustrious Strip Steve – have been turning heads with their collection of wonky & groovy jazz-infused house tunes for the past year or so. Following previous releases from YGT, Daisuke Kondo and a recent family affair titled the Jazz Cabbage Grand Ball, label regular Joe Cleen is back with his new EP, “Feeling Cute Dunno Might Delete Later”. Spanning three original cuts of sample heavy groovers and a great remix from wonky house specialist Glenn Astro himself, this is one smooth record.

Our pick of the bunch is the B1, aptly titled “We Need”. Right off the bat, Joe Cleen’s combination of slick filtering, bouncy toms, and crisp hats – all against the backdrop of one undeniably satisfying kick – get you in the mood to throw down. Soon joined by a piano sample with a tone that brings tears to your eyes and a delicate clap that’ll soothe your soul, “We Need” is a near-perfect warmup tune. Without question, this really is a track we need, and we’re pretty sure that you do to. Out on Nov 8th.
