Dublin’s P​ear ​​label return for their sixth release with the new Soma EP ​​from Donabate producer Bryan Mooney, also known as DJ Moonbeam, under his N​ew Members ​​alias. His latest offering contains three spaced out club cuts sure to complement the thickest of dancefloor fog layers.

Following two stand-out minimal cuts is the EP’s closing track, “Eclipse,” a ruff’n’rugged jungle number ripe with synthetic dreamscapes and percussive elements that nod to the wider hardcore continuum. It’s the perfect closer to one of Pear’s strongest releases, and a nice calling card for Mr. Mooney, surely one to watch based on the effortless beauty of the project as a whole. It’s easy to get lost in this one, and it’s especially hypnotic in the moments when the instrumental quiets to make room for the rings of garden chimes. Additionally, the song is shrouded in a blissful layer of white noise, creating an illusion of water flowing over it, which for me is deeply relaxing.Stay tuned for vinyl and digital release of New Member’s Soma EP this Friday, January 18th.
