British producer <a href="https://soundcloud.com/andy-ash" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Andy Ash</a> is on a roll! His recent release for Quintessentials slaps hard and not to mention output on such respected labels as Sheffield’s Moment Cinetique, Chicago’s Still Love 4 Music, New York’s On The Prowl and Sydney’s People Must Jam. Andy Ash tracks always have this wonky edge to them which make his music stand out in the crowd and we’re pleased to welcome him back for his third release on <a href="https://soundcloud.com/delusionsofgrandeur" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Delusions</a> entitled the Tiawo EP.</p>
<p>Kicking off this four track EP, the title track goes deep into early Chicago house territory calling to mind those incredible drum machine and synth workouts on Trax. Stripped back to just the driving 707 groove and chiming digital synths this punchy warehouse jam is just the track for those heady hours where the dance floor becomes suspended in time and the dancers are locked into the unfaltering groove.</p>
<p><iframe loading="lazy" src="https://w.soundcloud.com/player/?url=https%3A//api.soundcloud.com/tracks/1172523538%3Fsecret_token%3Ds-sZVNZVybNfS&amp;color=%23ff5500&amp;auto_play=true&amp;hide_related=false&amp;show_comments=true&amp;show_user=true&amp;show_reposts=false&amp;show_teaser=true" width="100%" height="166" frameborder="no" scrolling="no"></iframe></p>
<p>Next up Strictly Pins goes for a minimal approach with shuffling drums, moody Detroit Rhodes chords, bass and&#8230;.. that’s about it. But it grooves hard!</p>
<p>Burger treads a similar rhythmic and sonic path but with added trippy factor coming from a completely twisted vocal sample which is warped, cut up and processed for maximum freak-effect. Just a little insight into the mind of a madman which is both quite fun and disturbing in equal measures.</p>
<p>Closing out the EP we have Brother which goes for a slightly more conventional deep house sound with syncopated stabs, rolling bassline and swinging drums.</p>

<a href="https://soundcloud.com/andy-ash" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Andy Ash</a> has been quietly sneaking out seriously good analogue-driven electronic music on some of the best underground labels for over a decade. The Liverpool-based producer, DJ and visual artist has graced the likes of Chicago’s Stilove4music, NYC’s On The Prowl, Sydney’s People Must Jam and has remixed Fantastic Man for Detroit label Kolour LTD amongst many others. The bottom line is that he’s definitely one of the UK’s unsung heroes when it comes to deep, raw, Chicago and Detroit-influenced house music and <a class="profileLink" href="https://www.facebook.com/delusionsofgrandeurrecords/?__tn__=K-R&amp;eid=ARCXhrXUhhhaJu1_s60_ihGLgSIC_r5fz9pl5rIcCK8orrgDLL8A3h-pYMplSdLtatXf7TzrjutV569k&amp;fref=mentions&amp;__xts__%5B0%5D=68.ARBUlEImeJXeTn5ecqTM7-01kWLzSV0rWwzRz6enw-Av7WcBFfCRXHgi_ayyY9EGqERaz2lglNnNPQLGA8DS4O1G8wSSIsupO5fbn5CqfDhm7X6KdUAWgOIiinG_6K7wlJmgPt27doR-eSrc-9CQ6VlFDgA1tz6y0aITue8pEvxESk-8MLM3-0x0AweM4v1QfJx56JHRPiYJx7pEQm31onYB917p1V2qoxb6jJjBC2rSq-cORjxs02EIz6HEeDqIaY96RmlwIwnpf1VkgarlVLkxwn4_kKuOcsCc0QSyoDFXYAzKttH2eJT9-iPng4XlmkytJVoTLwD0c2lqds2MJ1SRaA" data-hovercard="/ajax/hovercard/page.php?id=337255673024451&amp;extragetparams=%7B%22__tn__%22%3A%22%2CdK-R-R%22%2C%22eid%22%3A%22ARCXhrXUhhhaJu1_s60_ihGLgSIC_r5fz9pl5rIcCK8orrgDLL8A3h-pYMplSdLtatXf7TzrjutV569k%22%2C%22fref%22%3A%22mentions%22%7D&amp;av=231771963678982&amp;eav=AfZqEYuuiMaN4hN1ZJFsCsMpReez0I3YXpKAxRjfSY4lIfvN4eOGCEGN63VkrZrUPo4" data-hovercard-prefer-more-content-show="1">Delusions of Grandeur</a> is proud to welcome him with an amazing three tracker entitled the Bottleneck EP. The title track opens with snappy hats, flappy congas and sloppy baseline all sitting perfectly in the mix and with a looseness that is much harder to achieve that it may seem. A simple synth melody doubles up the bassline while an extra square wave lead adds that little extra hook without distracting us from the bouncing groove. With Bottleneck, less is definitely more.<iframe loading="lazy" src="https://w.soundcloud.com/player/?url=https%3A//api.soundcloud.com/tracks/743989003%3Fsecret_token%3Ds-p8kTz&amp;color=%23ff5500&amp;auto_play=true&amp;hide_related=false&amp;show_comments=true&amp;show_user=true&amp;show_reposts=false&amp;show_teaser=true" width="100%" height="166" frameborder="no" scrolling="no"></iframe>Flipping over we have Hump, an altogether darker affair with a twisting acid line joining distorted 808 drums and tripped-out snippets of spoken word coming in and out of focus. The low-slung bumpy groove and spacey synth parts make this a compelling warehouse track which will draw everyone into it’s seductive confines.</p>
<p>Closing the release we have Actual Price, a shuffling, deep groover with rumbling low end and machine-like analogue synth part skipping around the crunchy beats. A cerebral yet punchy and dynamic closer to an excellent release! <a href="https://delusionsofgrandeurrec.bandcamp.com/album/bottleneck-ep-2" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Pre-order</a> now.</p>
