From fresh-faced, South-London label and party series Forgot, comes their second multi-artist EP, featuring four new cuts of deep house goodness.
After the bumping release that was Forgot 001, which gained critical praise from establishments like Juno and gained plays from Wah Wah 45’s Dom Servini, the label brings another solid release, featuring scuffed up tracks, equally at home or in the club.
A particular stand out is the sunny, house bumper “Apple Juice” by London producer Hoffy, who brings the tropical disco vibes for this invigorating slice of dance music. Dripping with hazy vocal cuts, bumping beats and the smoothest horns this side of John Coltrane, “Apple Juice” brings the sound of a Summer spent relaxing by the beach, with a skateboard in one hand, and an ice-cold cocktail in the other (or perhaps a refreshing glass of AJ?).

Hoffy’s looping slice of sunshine brings together the perfect vibe for the sun still in the sky, but the night’s just approaching. The A2 “4e&j” by Lavan takes us to the sunset with soulful keys and a deep RnB vocal loop. B1 brings it even deeper, with the conga inflected “Any Colour You Like” by Joe S, bringing the EP straight into the night time with it’s wistful Rhodes and sultry brass. Finally, B2’s “Filter Disco” by Newcomer Cass Brooker takes us straight into the club, with his looping, peak time disco banger.
‘Forgot’ continues its small but growing catalogue with another strong entry, bringing the perfect Summertime Deep House EP, coming exactly at the time we need it.
