What do you know about D.Y.A? Late last year, the Jazz-drummer-turned-House-head debuted his production chops via SOLIDE, the collective and label co-founded with fellow Berliners, Kalyma and MYNY. A busy year later, he finds himself on Zurich-based Foul & Sunk with “Morello”, a lively EP with two original tracks featuring remixes by Johannes Albrecht and Shan.

“Cosy”, which we have the pleasure of premiering, is a masterfully arranged piece of music centred around a reliable, disco-tinged guitar riff. From the tracks initial call to action, various harmonic layers are carefully introduced to reinforce the initial idea and elevate it to new heights. The interwoven guitar parts, optimistic bassline, and shuffle of the drums combine for an arrangement that works equally well in the club and the comfort of home.
